Bristol welcomes Yorkshireman as Oli moves south

We are pleased to announce that building surveyor, Oliver Davison, is moving down south, after spending nearly six years in our Leeds team.

Oli made the decision to move to Exeter after living in Yorkshire his whole life, leaving behind his beloved Leeds United. Recognising the value of its staff, Trident offered Oil the opportunity to join the growing Bristol Team and with the turn of the new year, it’s an exciting time to make the move.

“I have always really enjoyed working for Trident and everyone has been really encouraging as I have grown as a surveyor. When I spoke to Leeds office director Keith Richards, and then Bristol office director Dan Brooks-Dowsett about my relocation down to Exeter, they were very positive and supportive about being able to accommodate me within the Bristol team”

Oli is excited to get started with the Bristol office, already knowing most of the team from various events such as Trident Day and RICS Young surveyor of the Year, where Oli spent time in London with Bristol’s Tom Cansfield.

“The Bristol team are a great bunch and by sharing their experiences it will help me develop further. Also, with a new region, new consultants and a new team, I will learn and be introduced to new ways of working and types of construction which will help me develop”

Already, Oli has already come across a new type of roof covering, Bridgewater tiles – which comes from the local clay of the river Parrett.

Dan Brooks-Dowsett said “Oli has gained a lot of experience through the Leeds team, working across a wide range of sectors. We’re excited to have him join our growing team and bring his knowledge and enthusiasm for the job. He’ll be a great asset to our team, and we look forward to working with him”

Despite working with the Bristol team, Oli has personally relocated to Exeter, which offers its own delights!

“Being twenty-five minutes from the coast is a big positive for me. Imagine finishing work in Summer and heading straight to the beach! Perfect! Although I will have to cut down on the usual fish & chips and ice cream or I may struggle getting up those loft hatches!”

Welcome to Bristol Oli, you’ll leave your Yorkshire ways to become a true Bristolian in no time.
