Sustainability in heritage buildings


In this current era, we are having to look at sustainability in a very intensive way in order to prevent the effects of climate change.

A recent report has stated that new buildings consume roughly 40% of the UK’s energy supplies, but this isn’t to say our more historic buildings are any better.

Birmingham’s principal surveyor Melissa Osborne has written an article for PBC Today on how to adapt and enhance heritage buildings in a green way that will be sustainable in the future.
