Trident Building Consultancy was appointed by the client to Project Manage the replacement of flammable materials and poorly installed fire barriers throughout the building. The building was granted eligibility by the Building Safety Fund (BSF).
Acting as the Lead Consultant, Trident offered a full turnkey service including advising on the appointment of the professional design team, assisting in their appointment documents and ensuring they have the required expertise and insurance levels to satisfy the BSF requirements.
With the clients being a “right to manage company” assisted by the client’s residential management consultants they did not possess the knowledge or expertise to tackle the Homes England application process. Part of the service Trident offered was to manage this process on their behalf resulting in the award of £14m to remediate the building.
Trident successfully managed the works over a two-year period with the works being approved by Building Control enabling the Fire Engineer to produce an EWS1 form allowing the owners to sell and re-finance their properties.
