This September, 5 members of Team Trident are lacing up their hiking boots and taking on the first ever LandAid Trek in Wales.

We are proud to be corporate partners of LandAid, a property industry charity with one aim; to end youth homelessness.

Could you imagine not having a safe place to call home? That is the reality for far too many, as 135’000 young people experienced or were at risk of homelessness in 2022-2023. The vital work LandAid does supports projects all over the UK helping young people experiencing homelessness to thrive.

This year, LandAid announced their brand-new event; the LandAid Trek and Team Trident couldn’t wait to show their support. As the virtual sponsors of the event, we have numerous members of the team taking part in the virtual trek from all over the UK, but 5 of our team have stepped up to the challenge and are taking part in person.

Meet our Team

David, Daksha, Callum, Melissa and Ashlee will be hiking 27km across the Black Mountains, from the 13th – 15th of September, along with others from our industry in support of LandAid. Here’s what they had to say:

David Juniper – Director (London):

Having supported LandAid on several fundraising events over the years, from the Sleep-Out, Tour de LandAid, Steptober and the Big-Quiz, the LandAid Trek was a challenge I couldn’t miss out on. LandAid is an amazing charity which I fully support and will continue to do so”

Daksha Mistry – Director (London):

“I am participating in the LandAid Trek because I feel everyone deserves a safe place to call home.

Homelessness affects thousands, and together, we can make a difference. By joining this trek, I hope to raise awareness and funds to support those in need. Let’s come together to create real change and give hope to those without a home.

Join me in this journey and support the cause! Every little bit helps”

Callum Rutherford – Senior Associate Director (London):

I am taking part in this hike to support LandAid because I believe in their mission to end youth homelessness.

Every young person deserves a safe and stable place to call home, and by participating in this hike, I am contributing to a cause that can make a real difference in the lives of those in need.

Together, we can raise awareness and funds to provide support and resources for homeless youth, helping them build a better future”.

Melissa Osborne – Associate Director, Head of Conservation (Birmingham)

“I’ve done a couple of fundraising treks for charity in the past. This one for Landaid is particularly important to me. As a mother it breaks my heart to think that some young people are homeless and vulnerable. Anything we can do to keep kids safe has to be worth walking for”

Ashlee Rushmer-Wells – Project Manager (London)

“I decided to take part in the Landaid Trek as It’s a chance to challenge myself, enjoy the stunning scenery of the Black Mountains, and support a great charity helping to end youth homelessness. It’s an amazing opportunity to raise funds for an important cause while also having an adventure.”
