At Trident, we like to think our culture speaks for itself, but it’s always a proud moment when a familiar face decides to come back.
That is why we are thrilled to announce that Sam Hinkes has rejoined our London office as Head of London Building Surveying. After some time away travelling and gaining experience elsewhere, Sam has returned to take on this leadership role.
We sat down with Sam to catch up on his journey and what drew him back to the team.
A new chapter in a familiar place
“I returned to Trident as it’s a great company.” Sam shared. “The opportunity to step into the role of Head of London Building Surveying was just too good to turn down.”
Sam recognises the challenge ahead but is excited to get started. “There is going to be a lot more responsibility, it’s going to be tough, but I have great mentors around me and I’m really looking forward to getting stuck into the role!”
What was missed most
Based in our London office on Throgmorton Street, Sam reflected on what he missed during his hiatus. “It sounds cliché, but I missed my colleagues and clients the most.”
In his time away, Sam took time to travel and reset before gaining further experience elsewhere. When asked if he picked up any new skills on his travels, Sam joked: “Did I develop any new skills? No…if anything, I’ve regressed!”
Looking ahead
Sam returns during an exciting period of growth for Trident. “There are lots of exciting things happening across the business. We’ve launched new service lines such as Sustainability Services and Building and Fire Safety, and although they’re still relatively new, they’re absolutely flying! It’s fantastic to see.”
