Electrification
of Everything,
Everywhere, All at Once

Generating asset value

Date: 4th of November 2026
Time: 8:30-10:00am
Venue: The Palm Room 6-14 Underwood Street
2nd floor London N1 7JQ

Electrification is reshaping the economy and redefining what resilient, competitive real estate looks like. As demand rises and grid constraints intensify, access to power is becoming critical to development, occupier requirements and long-term asset performance.
This session will cut through the complexity and show how investors and asset managers can protect value, manage capacity risk and capture new opportunities from generation, storage and flexibility.

About the Session

The buildings that can intelligently manage when and how they use electricity will increasingly hold an advantage over those that simply consume it. Real estate can reduce peak demand, provide flexibility, incorporate on-site generation and storage, and make better use of constrained network capacity.

During this session, we will explore:

  • The forces driving the electrification of heat, transport, buildings and industry
  • The implications of the UK capacity crunch for real estate
  • How power availability, resilience and flexibility can influence asset value
  • Revenue and cost-saving opportunities from PV, battery storage, smart controls and grid services
  • A practical five-step approach to capturing value across portfolios and individual assets
