Trident’s Manchester office was instructed by a large housing association to carry out a fire risk appraisal of external wall construction for five existing residential blocks in Manchester. An EWS-1 Form for each of the block was delivered following review by a third party Chartered Fire Engineer.
To facilitate the delivery of the EWS-1 Forms, Trident co-ordinated the appointment of other professional parties, including, a Chartered Fire Engineer and specialist façade contractor.
In accordance with PAS9980, Trident assessed each block’s Fire Strategy, as-built documentation, external wall build-ups, external attachments and critical fire safety provisions to select targeted intrusive inspection locations in the external facade.
Trident planned and co-ordinated the intrusive investigation works alongside an approved façade main contractor in order to determine each block’s as-built construction and condition.
An external wall report was produced to facilitate the appointed fire engineer with carrying out a PAS9980 external wall risk assessment.
Upon completion of the PAS9980 assessment, EWS-1 Forms were executed to enable mortgages and lending on the properties.
