Heritage

From manor houses and farm buildings, to a derelict World War ll radar base and an unused coastguards’ lookout, we have advised on an extraordinary range of heritage projects.

Trident’s team of experienced specialist surveyors take pride in working in harmony with these buildings – helping to preserve their stories for future generations, and for our clients, which include organisations such as the National Trust, hotel chains and private clients with large portfolios which include listed and traditional buildings.

We have the knowledge and understanding to work with traditional buildings, these include listed buildings, buildings within a conservation area and those which have been constructed using traditional methods and materials. We understand that these buildings differ from those constructed using modern materials.

We offer a range of services including conservation condition surveys which document the condition of the asset with a view to informing us of its maintenance and repair. As we have accredited professionals, we can manage schemes funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund, which is a requirement of Historic England. We are also qualified to produce Heritage Impact Statements and submit Listed Building Consent applications.

Conservation is the management of change, and we pride ourselves on being able to deliver results for our clients without compromising the significance of the building.

In fact, sometimes, a heritage development can feel like a passion project, so it’s just as well our team gets immense satisfaction from the sensitive conservation of a building, perhaps into a welcoming holiday cottage or a vibrant workspace.
