Planned Maintenance

A planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedule involves regularly scheduled inspections, testing, and maintenance activities aimed at preventing potential problems and extending the lifespan of building systems and components.

There are several benefits to implementing a PPM schedule including: –

  • Cost savings: By regularly maintaining building systems and components, potential problems can be identified and addressed early, preventing costly repairs or replacements down the line.
  • Improved safety: Regular maintenance of safety systems such as fire alarms, sprinklers, and security systems can help prevent accidents and keep occupants safe.

  • Increased lifespan of building components: Regular maintenance and inspections can help extend the lifespan of building systems and components, reducing the need for premature replacements
  • Compliance with regulations: Regular maintenance and inspections can help ensure that buildings comply with relevant regulations and standards, reducing the risk of fines or legal action

Trident have experience in undertaking PPM surveys across many different building types and can tailor our advice to suit specific client requirements, for example focusing on certain elements or timespans e.g. 5, 10 or 20 year reporting periods.

We visit site and collect the data via specialist software which allows time savings to be passed onto our clients. Our schedules include an element type, condition grading and remaining life to repair/replacement, recommended work and associated year of work and budget costs to allow clients to budget accordingly. This forms a proactive approach and not a reactive one.
