Planned Maintenance

A proactive property owner, landlord, or facilities manager will want to head-off potential problems and extend the lifespan of their properties’ infrastructure. A Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedule, involving regularly scheduled inspections, testing, and maintenance activities, will help to achieve this.

A PPM schedule provides numerous benefits:

  • Cost savings: By regularly maintaining building systems and components, potential problems can be identified and addressed early, preventing costly repairs or replacements.
  • Improved safety: Regular maintenance of safety systems, such as fire alarms, sprinklers, and security systems, can help prevent accidents and keep occupants safe.
  • Increased lifespan of building components: Regular maintenance and inspections can help extend the lifespan of building systems and components, reducing the need for premature replacements.
  • Compliance with regulations: Regular maintenance and inspections can help ensure that buildings comply with relevant regulations and standards, reducing the risk of fines or legal action.

Experienced in undertaking PPM surveys across all building types, we can tailor advice to suit your specific requirements, for example focusing on certain elements or timespans e.g. five, 10 or 20-year reporting periods. We also have an in-depth knowledge of Building Regulations, the Gateway Process and adhere to PAS 8671.

Entirely proactive, we visit site and collect data via specialist software, passing time savings onto our clients. The latest technology, including drones operated by a team of trained surveyors, are used in the process.

Our schedules include an element type, condition grading and remaining life to repair/replacement, recommended work and associated year of work and budget costs to allow clients to budget accordingly.
