3D render of the Windsor Hotel
Building Surveying

Hotel, Windsor

The project involves the redevelopment of an existing retail unit in the centre of Windsor’s main shopping street, to create a mixed-use scheme. This will retain the current retail facade facing Peascod Street while introducing a newly constructed hotel at the rear of the site. The hotel will span four floors, from Lower Ground to the 3rd floor, featuring 116 en-suite bedrooms, a hotel restaurant, and full back-of-house facilities, including a vehicle loading bay. The retail unit on Peascod Street will include back-of-house space and offices.

Trident was able to advise the client on their responsibilities as a Dutyholder under the Building Safety Act 2022. As Principal Designer (Building Regulations) Trident complied with PAS 87671 by ensuring that all designers and consults possessed the relevant competence to undertake their role. Trident was engaged throughout each design stage to review and record the necessary statutory requirements. Trident managed the design process by reviewing consultant designs and recording the Golden Thread of information.
