For over 4 years, members of Team Trident have participated in the LandAid SleepOut, braving one night in the cold to help #endyouthhomelessness.
An ongoing partnership
“We’re proud to be foundation partners of LandAid” says Dan Roe, Managing Director, who is participating in his 4th SleepOut.
“As an Employee-Owned Trust, our people chose LandAid as their charity of choice, making the SleepOut one of the key events in our calendar”
For those unfamiliar with LandAid, they bring the property industry together to support charities and projects across the UK that deliver life changing services for young people, who are, have been, or who are at risk of homelessness.
This year, we are taking teams to both the London and Liverpool SleepOuts.
Sleeping out in the capital
Joining Dan in London is Callum Rutherford, and Tim Rowland.
“I love getting involved in LandAid events, it’s a really worthwhile cause’ says Callum, Senior Associate Director.
“After taking part in the inaugural LandAid Trek last September and hearing the impact of the money we raised, I was ready to take on another challenge for LandAid.”
Tim, Assistant Building Surveyor, was one of the first to put his hand up to volunteer. “I’m quite new to Trident, but after learning all about LandAid and how Trident support them, I knew I had to get involved. While the SleepOut will undoubtedly be challenging, I’m ready to embrace the experience and contribute to this important cause.”
Liverpool’s first SleepOut
This year, the SleepOut is coming to Liverpool for the first time, and our Liverpool team was ready to get stuck in.
“I’m thrilled the SleepOut is coming to Liverpool!” says Cameron McMaster, Associate Director.
“It’s a fantastic opportunity to connect with other industry professionals and raise crucial funds for young people in our own city.”
New recruits step up
Cameron will be joined at the Liverpool SleepOut by two of Team Trident’s newest recruits: Assistant Building Surveyor Toby Garnett and Apprentice Building Surveyor Tristan Dodwell-Cooke .
“I’m incredibly excited to be taking part in my first SleepOut,” says Toby.
“It’s a unique opportunity to have insight into the challenges faced by young people experiencing homelessness, and to contribute to a great cause.”
Tristan echoes Toby’s enthusiasm. “I’m a bit nervous, but mostly I’m looking forward to the challenge and the opportunity to raise vital funds for LandAid. It’s great to be part of a company that actively supports such a worthwhile cause.”
