Today, Monday the 17th of July marks one week to the start of Tour de LandAid, an event in which property professionals battle it out for a variety of cycling jerseys all to raise money for LandAid.

This isn’t our first time taking on the challenge, with our 2022 team placing third overall, and one team member winning the silver jersey. This year, in order to encourage everyone’s inner cyclist, we’ve taken a new approach at Trident by installing static bikes in our offices for the event, meaning anyone can take part.

This year’s Trident team is therefore our biggest yet, with 12 members of Team Trident from across our offices taking on the challenge. On the team we have Owen PottleSally Peet, Keith Richards, William FitzPatrick Tom HollowayPritesh PatelMuminal ‘Eps’ IslamJake HarrisonRobert WilliamsonDavid JuniperDan Roe and Tony Madden.

The bikes are already set up in our offices, and we’re getting our practice in this week ahead of Tour de LandAid by having an office vs office competition. Follow along on our LinkedInInstagram, and Twitter accounts to see which office will come out on top!

We’ve got a fun couple of weeks ahead, but all of this is in support of LandAid, an important charity with one aim – To end youth homelessness.

Every day of every year, thousands of young people are homeless, and this number has grown enormously since the start of the pandemic.  When we think of ‘homelessness’ we automatically think of the most visible form – sleeping on the streets, and while this may be one of the most dangerous forms of homelessness, it is just the tip of the iceberg. Homelessness refers to anyone who doesn’t have a private, secure, decent, and affordable place you can call home.

The money raised from Tour de LandAid, will help LandAid fund local organisations up and down the UK to provide immediate care and opportunities for those experiencing homelessness to thrive.
