Our values are what defines our culture and were chosen by our best asset…Team Trident.
Our transition to an Employee-owned trust (EOT) in 2022 means that the very structure of Trident facilitates COLLABORATION. Team Trident is what makes us successful and being an EOT means we all have a say across all areas of the business, an improved sense of connectedness, and a working environment in which everyone feels valued and can develop.
Trident Day is a great opportunity for us all to come together and collaborate. Every year one of our offices gets to host the event. It’s a chance for us to catch up, review the past 12 months but also have a look at what’s coming up and share our ideas.

Being collaborative includes a requirement to listen. We have therefore established a staff voice committee whose sole purpose is to do this. By listening to feedback from our people, we have been able to create some new initiatives (link to responsive article), that have improved Trident and made it an even better place to work.
We are also a foundation partner of LandAid, taking part in a variety of their fundraising events throughout the year. In 2022 we raised over £10,000 and are on our way to match that in 2023. In the past 12 months we have kicked our way to victory at the commonwealth cup, stepped our way through Steptober, taken part in the Christmas card alternative campaign, submitted teams from across the country in the Sleepout event and battled it out at the Yorkshire Quiz.
The most recent event was Tour de LandAid, where we sponsored the yellow jersey and installed static bikes in our offices to encourage as many people to get involved as possible in breaking the cycle of youth homelessness. LandAid’s events provide a great opportunity for our teams to unite to raise money and awareness for youth homelessness, sometimes with a lot of competition included!

In January we began our Partnership with BAME in property, who have been supporting us as we continue to improve Equality, Diversity and Inclusivity(EDI) within Trident. We have really enjoyed working with BAME in property founder Priya Shah, who helped us establish our EDI committee. Led by Daksha Mistry, the committee enables people from across the business to meet monthly to facilitate and drive our EDI initiatives to maintain Trident as an inclusive and safe space to work.
This year, we have launched our annual CSR day, so the team can giveback to their local community. The first of these days saw our Edinburgh office help out at Leuchie House, a National Respite centre. Make sure to follow us on LinkedIn, to keep up with what our other offices get up too.
We encourage all members of Team Trident to get involved and take an interest in all areas of the business. Earlier this year, our London secretary Rhiannon was interested in getting a first hand experience of a day in the life of a surveyor, in order to help her in her own work. Rhiannon visited various sites with Sam and documented their day through a LinkedIn Takeover. You can see how they got on in the following posts – 1, 2, 3 and 4.

Whilst, we might be spread across nine regional offices, Team Trident often work as a collective on site. There is no better example of this than when we were instructed to carry out condition surveys of tenanted properties across sixty locations in North Yorkshire. With over 250 buildings to survey and report on in just four months, a co-ordinated team of surveyors from across our offices worked together to meet the clients’ deadlines.
We regularly post updates from Team Trident on social media. To keep up to date of what we are up to, follow us on LinkedIn , Instagram and Twitter.
