Trident was instructed by the National Trust to carry out Condition Surveys of tenanted properties at 60No. locations in North Yorkshire. In total over 250 buildings were surveyed and reported on, within four months.
The construction, materials, and use of each of the buildings ranged from a tenanted Grade ll manor house, a derelict World War ll radar base, an unused coastguards lookout, and an assortment of working farms with traditional and modern agricultural buildings.
Together with condition reporting, defects and repairs were identified, with budget cost estimating and timescale assessment for rectification.
The condition reports were required to secure internal funding for necessary repairs and to feed into the Conservation Management Plan which is being produced to inform conservation principles going forward.
In addition to the condition surveys, we arranged and sub-contracted full measurement surveys of each property, so that floor plans elevations and external areas were plotted, with all plans issued as DWG and PDFs.
Trident coordinated a team from different regional offices in order to meet the client’s requirements and tight timescales, providing a bespoke service and reporting formats.
